Details This award-winning Freedom Task Chair with a headrest by Humanscale makes it easier to work for extended periods, while lowering the risk of work-related injury. The Humanscale Freedom Task Chair with Headrest minimizes the need for manual controls while still maximizing natural, spontaneous movement, which is essential for a healthy body and a comfortable day’s work. This means you can enjoy all the features of the Freedom Chair with Headrest with virutally no effort. This office chair with headrest by Humanscale was designed with no tension spring adjustments and no recline locks to set or release. Another benefit is that it allows you to maintain near-constant eye level as you recline. Articulating Headrest The Freedom chair features a dynamic, articulating headrest to support the head and neck as users recline. It moves with the sitter, so they can change postures without making manual adjustments and stay comfortable in any position. Self Adjusting Recline Freedom eliminates the need for traditional recline mechanisms, which can be bulky and weigh up to 15 pounds. Instead, Freedom uses the sitter’s body weight and the laws of physics to perfectly and automatically adjust recline support for each individual. Synchronous Armrests Freedom’s body-friendly armrests move up and down together, staying with the user during recline for continuous comfort and support. Unlike other chair designs, Freedom’s armrests are attached to the back of the chair to ensure synchronous use.

Without cumbersome knobs or levers, and with no manual adjustments, Freedom task makes active sitting effortless. Intuitive Adjustment The revolutionary design of the Freedom’s backrest allows automatic pivoting to accommodate the changing needs of the spine. Description Niels Diffrient’s Freedom Chair was a breakthrough in ergonomic task seating. With a height-adjustable headrest, the headrest version offers customized support for the head, allowing for proper eye-level positioning when working long hours at a computer station. The Freedom Chair is designed to fit almost all body types. The seat depth is adjustable to properly support the seat and thighs, while the adjustable back support helps keep the lumbar region of the body in line. Often, ergonomic chairs are likely to be improperly positioned, resulting in the creation of more problems than they solve. The Freedom Chair is simpler than other chairs, eliminating many manual adjustments and creating instead a system of internal mechanisms that respond to the user’s needs. A unique counterbalancing tilt mechanism self-adjusts according to the user’s weight and movement, thus eliminating the need for manual fixes. In addition, the chair and seatback can be easily raised or lowered, and the seat itself moves forward or back. Any adjustments can be easily made while the user is seated for accurate positioning. Because of a natural lift-and-release action, the armrests are effortlessly repositioned in tandem, depending on the task at hand. The seat cushion provides excellent shock absorption and weight distribution for unmatched comfort. Backed by a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty. Made in U.S.A. For big shots who leave small footprints, Freedom is 62% recycled, 90% recyclable and 100% comfortable.
